Hi everyone! My name is Ashley Lauraine and I'm so honored to serve as your vice president. I am a Junior at Hope College in Holland, Michigan where I'm majoring in biology and minoring in biochemistry. I'm the treasurer for our pre-vet and animal lovers club, Club Animalia, volunteer at Renew Therapeutic Riding Center as a horse leader, and work as a vet assistant at Emergency Veterinary Care Centers. I plan to go into small animal general practice and spend a few years in emergency medicine. One fun fact about me is that I have been teaching at the Summer Science Camps at Hope College for 9 years! I adore teaching and plan to focus more intensely on client education in my future practice to improve overall pet health. I look forward to being your vice president and please reach out to me if you have questions or just want someone to bounce ideas off of (I love making four year plans)!

My name is Jamia Eaves. I am a freshman Animal science major at Tuskegee University, striving to become an accomplished veterinarian, wildlife conservationist, and animal rescuer. I was raised in Auburn, Alabama, by a loving and caring family of six. I am one of four siblings, and I have a fraternal twin. Thanks to my family, I have been able to strive and pursue things and positions such as APVMA Secretary. My hobbies include crocheting, painting, working out, reading, and writing. I have two dogs, a Maltipoo and a beagle, whom I adore. I hope to be admitted to an international college of veterinary medicine to utilize ethical concepts to improve lab animals' living standards and obtain my international medical license. I plan to explore additional sustainable means and methods of containment and preservation for endangered, rehabilitated, and threatened animals in zoos and wildlife rescue reservations, and open a veterinary facility that will take in and rehabilitate injured and abused animals. I am very excited about this opportunity and promise to uphold what this community and organization truly stand for. I appreciate your support.
